D. Hydei (Golden)

We often get asked, "What is the difference between regular and golden hydei?".  The answer is implied in the name; they are golden!  Yes, that is the only difference.  Why does it matter?  Well if you have a pet which is a very picky eater, these are sure to catch his eye and entice his appetite.  They are the same size and have the same breeding characteristics as regular Drosophila Hydei fruit flies.  Each culture comes with everything the flies need to produce thousands of flies.  Just keep them at room temperature for several days and they will begin to produce.  See our Care Info page for more info.
